Join us for a combined pest and crop management field meeting in Ellsworth. Will Gardner is a grower who recently completed de-rocking and mulching with NRCS. Hancock County NRCS will discuss mulching and UMaine Extension will cover disease and weed management.

June 15 – Climate Resilience, Cherryfield

Join us for a combined pest and crop management field meeting on the barrens. Cherryfield Foods personnel will be attending to give us an irrigation demonstration and discuss their jack pine wind breaks.  Kate McFarland, Assistant Agroforester for the USDA National Agroforestry Center, will be visiting us from Vermont to share her knowledge on wind breaks. UMaine researchers will discuss the most recent research and Extension efforts.

Join us for a combined pest and crop management field meeting in southern Maine with the grower Seth Kroeck.  Kate McFarland, Assistant Agroforester for the USDA National Agroforestry Center, will be visiting us from Vermont to share her knowledge on wind breaks. UMaine researchers will discuss the most recent research and Extension efforts. Maine NRCS will be present to share information about their mulch and irrigation programs.

Blueberry Hill Farm Field Day, Jonesboro

The field day will take place in the morning this year. You’ll be able to “choose you own adventure” through a rotation of 3-6 sessions in the morning. All sessions will be outside. To-go lunch will be provided from Swamp Yankee BBQ!

Topics covered will include but are not limited to IPM, crop management, online marketing, and climate resilience. (2 PA Credits)
