4-H Information Night
4-H is a national organization for youth ages 5-18 to learn life skills through hands-on project-based work. As the youth development arm of UMaine Extension, 4-H has always emphasized the importance of building the life skills needed to be successful adults. 4-H in Cumberland County offers many different clubs for a variety of ages and interests, as well as many short-term summer clubs; one-time workshops in science, crafts, and more; and enrichment programs for libraries and after-school programs. Sound interesting? Want to learn more? Then you should sign up for our 4-H Information Night on Monday, October 23, 6:30 – 7:30 PM in the Windham Town Hall Conference Room.
Join Mitch Mason, 4-H Extension Educator, and Allison Pollock, 4-H Community Education Assistant, for a 4-H Information Night to learn all about what 4-H can offer youth and volunteers alike.
We will discuss:
- What 4-H is
- What does 4-H in Cumberland County have to offer
- Clubs currently offered here in Cumberland County
- How to start your own club
- How to become a volunteer or member
- And more!
We will also have plenty of time for questions. For more information, to RSVP, or to request a disability accommodation email Allison Pollock at allison.pollock@maine.edu or call 207.781.6099 or 800.287-.1471 (in Maine only).
