June Jamboree

June Jamboree is once again right around the corner (Saturday, June 3, 2023). It is a time for 4-H members to see what others are doing in their 4-H projects, a chance to learn new things, to see old friends and to make new ones. June Jamboree will also assist 4-H members in preparing for the Cumberland County Fair in September. 4-H club members have the opportunity to participate in many animal clinics, shows, and other activities.

Please read this information carefully and call the Extension Office if you have any questions.

Information to help you prepare for June Jamboree 2023:

General Information: All events will take place at the Cumberland Fairgrounds (197 Blanchard Road in Cumberland, Maine 04021).

Many 4-H livestock leaders plan their own events (shows/clinics) for June Jamboree. However, if you are a 4-H’er doing a livestock project and are not enrolled in a specific livestock club, you may call the Extension Office for details on livestock project activities. All 4-H members who want to exhibit at Cumberland Fair are strongly encouraged to participate in June Jamboree.

Parents / Guardians:  A parent, or designated supervising adult, must attend June Jamboree with the youth (i.e., a 4-H leader, another parent, grandparents, etc.). Each adult who is supervising one or more youth should keep the Health form with them throughout the day. The forms will not be collected at June Jamboree by staff or leaders but should be readily available.

Lunch:  TBD
