In 2015, Peggy Day revived a group of raised beds that had been abandoned some years ago. Teachers and students are engaged and interested in the project and volunteers worked to improve the soil by adding donated compost. In 2016, the gardens had to be downsized and moved to a new location. They’ve had students from Canal School participate, as well as special ed classes from the high school. In 2018, more MGVs joined the team and they plan to engage teachers and students more in years to come. Project Coordinators: Peggy Day and Eileen Schutts.
