Every year at the beginning of the new year, a committee of Master Gardener Volunteers come together to organize and execute a new theme for the Maine Flower Show. In 2018, MGVs picked the theme of ‘Gardening in Small Spaces” in which they organized among their fellow MGVs to plant various types of container gardens for different growing conditions from shade to full sun (including vegetables, herbs, and perennials). These containers were displayed at the Flower Show along with soil test kits and other horticulture information. The Maine Flower Show takes place the last weekend of March every year (from Wednesday night to Sunday).  Project Coordinator: Pamela Hargest.
