Zoom Discussion on Best Management Practices for Pick-Your-Own Operations During COVID-19

Join the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, and the Department of Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry for a twilight meeting to discuss the best management practices for Pick-Your-Own operations during the COVID-19 outbreak.

UMaine Extension’s Small Fruit Specialist David Handley, Food Safety Specialist Rob Machado, and Sustainable Agriculture Professional Jason Lilley will join with DACF’s Division of Agricultural Resource Development Director Leigh Hallett and Food Inspections Supervisor Leah Cook to discuss key considerations for keeping you, your crew, and your customers safe, while still allowing pick-your-own to happen this year.

If you are interested in sharing your farm layout as a case study for this discussion, please send pictures and descriptions to Jason.lilley@maine.edu
