Join the UMaine Cooperative Extension, the Greater Franklin Food Council, and CEI for a day focused on Digital Marketing for your farm. This workshop will feature presenters who will help you learn:

  • How to get great phone photos and make the most of them for your business.
  • Tips and tricks for using photos that engage your customers
  • How to best utilize social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram

Tentative Schedule for the day

9:00 – 9:15 a.m.: Coffee and registration

9:15 – 9:30 a.m.: Welcoming remarks from the Greater Franklin Food Council

9:30 – 10:45 a.m.: Farm Phone-tography and the power of photos in marketing with Kelsey Kobik

10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Using Social Media to Promote Your Farm with presenter Katie Kelley

12:00 – 12:30 p.m.: How else can the GFFC help you and your farm with marketing? A short focus group for next steps and opportunities

12:30 – 12:45 p.m.: Close

12:45 – 3:00 p.m.: You are invited to also attend lunch and an afternoon conversation with municipal representatives from the greater Farmington region about Creating Farm-Friendly Municipal Policies, co-hosted by Maine Farmland Trust and Greater Franklin Food Council. We will send all registered participants for the marketing workshops the registration for the afternoon event.

About the Presenters

Kelsey Kobik is a Maine farm photographer with a background in vegetable farming and online marketing.

Katie Kelley is a freelance marketer and photographer who works with small businesses to expand their digital presence.
