Do you have a planting chart for those of us who utilize garden boxes?

Question:

Will you ever or could you put together a planting chart for those of us who utilize garden boxes? As many of us are cramped for space, or just plain too old to till, garden boxes provide another option. It would be great to have a resource that applies to our climate here in Maine.

We do have some suggestions for vegetables in containers, with our Growing Vegetables in Containers. I have grown radishes and green beans in window boxes on my deck as well as tomatoes to great success. You just have to remember to water and fertilize.

We don’t have any planting suggestions for ornamentals in containers at this time. Many companies release interesting planter combinations that utilize their latest variety releases. They usually try to regionalize their suggestions for the different parts of the county. Your local nursery or greenhouse would also be good sources of suggestions.
