2017 Maine Invasive Species Network Annual Meeting
Please mark your calendars for the 2017 Maine Invasive Species Network Annual Meeting:
Wednesday, March 22 at Colby College in Waterville, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Detailed agenda to follow closer to the date, but is sure to include:
- State of the State speakers covering updates/projects/advances in each of several invasive species groups (aquatic plants, marine species, forest insects, terrestrial plants, agricultural species)
- Update on the Dept. of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Rule-making on terrestrial invasive plants
- Time for networking with colleagues from across the state
The 2017 Annual Meeting planning group includes John McPhedran and Paul Gregory (Maine Dept. of Environmental Protection), Amanda Devine (Maine Coast Heritage Trust), Gary Fish (Maine Dept. of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry), and Nancy Olmstead. Andrei Alyokhin at UMaine is also advising and supporting us as MISN’s University of Maine liaison since Lois Stack has retired from University of Maine Cooperative Extension.
