Proposed Bill to Amend the Rules Regulating Invasive Terrestrial Plant

April 19th, 2017
The hearing for LD 1114 has been scheduled for next Thursday, 4/27. If adopted, the bill will significantly affect the rules recently adopted by The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (DACF) to prohibit the sale and distribution of terrestrial plants that were deemed invasive.
A copy of the rules and the plant list are found on the DACF website at: http://www.maine.gov/dacf/php/horticulture/invasiveplants.shtml
