Request for Proposals for the High Priority Regional Projects

The US Forest Service Eastern Region is now requesting fiscal year (FY) 2024 proposals for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Invasive Species Non-Federal Lands High Priority Regional Projects Grant Program.  As part of BIL’s broader ecosystem restoration objective, the BIL Invasive Species Non-Federal Lands Program aims to strategically sustain the health of forest ecosystems or tree species through the implementation of management actions to prevent introduction, spread, or damage; detect introduced and/or established invasive species and their spread; and respond to infestations of invasive forest insects, worms, pathogens, and plants.

High-Priority Regional Projects Request for Applications. Instructions and other agency-specific forms and resources are available at this link.  All Eastern Region State forestry departments or equivalent State agencies that have a responsibility for forest health are eligible. Other organizations are eligible (e.g., institutes of higher education, nonprofit organizations, and local governments), but the application must also include an email of support from the State forest health agency lead. Open through December 15, 2023.
