4-H Outdoor Educator
University of Maine Cooperative Extension

This 50-hour comprehensive training delivered by University of Maine Cooperative Extension Human Resources and 4-H Camp and Learning Center Staff or another approved educator includes a combination of online and in-person experiential learning. Training includes practice and demonstration of skills in the following areas:
- Risk management.
- Group dynamics and teambuilding.
- Outdoor safety, including activity planning and preparation.
- Managing youth emotions, including homesickness.
