A survey of the indoor environment and the strategies used to optimize conditions for seed germination, seedling growth, and acclimation to the outdoors. Variety selection and sowing schedules will be discussed as well as what qualities make a planting medium ideal for seed starting indoors. Light lunch will be provided before the presentation. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A discussion and an optional seed-sowing workshop.
