United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Mandates Influenza Testing for Interstate Shipment of Dairy Cattle

USDA will require dairy cattle to receive a negative test for influenza A before interstate shipment.
The move was announced Wednesday and will go into effect April 29.
The testing rule applies to lactating cows and could be expanded to other types of dairy cattle as USDA gathers more information.
