Diving Into Aquaponics

Come learn all about aquaponics, a type of sustainable farming that combines raising fish in tanks (aquaculture) and growing plants without soil (hydroponics). Aquaponic farming can be done year-round, indoors, and in any climate. It is a fun and different way to grow your own food that is safe, easy, and fresh! Youth participants will practice engineering and observation skills as they get hands-on with the pieces of an aquaponics system. This is a great opportunity to practice problem-solving, troubleshooting, and systems thinking skills.
