Wells Branch Extension Homemakers Group
Wells Branch Extension Homemakers Group is one of four local community groups that comprise York County Extension Homemakers. We have 20 members and meet on the first Tuesday during the months of September, October, November, December; March April, May, and June. We take a break for January and February. We meet at the Wells Congregational Church on Route 1 in Wells.
Some projects we have recently been involved in, or are planning to be involved in, are:
- Potluck and a Craft
- Quilling
- Visit from Deborah Killam
- Special Christmas Music
- Games We Once Played
- Craft
- Silent Auction
- Wildflowers
- Audubon Birds
Information was shared for the Maine Mitten Project. This is a statewide effort where volunteers knit mittens, hats, and scarves to support four agencies. Visit the Maine Mitten Project website for information.
Educational programs planned include:
- Container Gardening on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Presented by a York County Master Gardener. Bring a bagged lunch, dessert and beverage provided.
