UMaine Extension offers workshop on canning and preserving strawberry jam
ARUNDEL, Maine—University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer a Canning and Preserving Strawberry Jam workshop on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 5–7:30 p.m. at Frinklepod Farm, 244 Log Cabin Road, Arundel.
The workshop will cover how to prepare and preserve strawberry jam, including recipes using less sugar. The instructor will teach safe preservation techniques for strawberries using both the boiling water bath canning method and freezing. Participants will receive recipes and a jar of homemade jam. Please bring a potholder with you to class.
