The workshop is Tuesday, August 16, 5-7 p.m., at MOFGA’s farm in Unity. Free for individuals involved in farming, fishing, forestry or Indigenous food or medicine producers and communities associated with these fields of practice.
The Safe Labor–Movement workshop covers body mechanics and foundational movement patterns that may help increase work productivity and efficiency and help decrease workplace injuries. Time will be spent in an interactive setting moving through four main movement patterns: hinge, squat, push, pull, along with kneeling patterns, rotation, and core stability. Each participant will leave with tips to improve their overall movement health and wellness. Time for questions and answers is included each session. Participants also receive one month’s access to on-going coaching via text and email.
