Invasive Plant Educational Workshops

Join the University of Maine Cooperative Extension for an Invasive Plant Educational Workshop, presented in collaboration with the Southern Aroostook, Piscataquis, and Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation Districts, as well as the Maine Natural Areas Program (MNAP) and the Maine Forest Service (MFS). This engaging workshop will explore invasive plant biology, their ecological impacts, identification methods, key concepts in invasive plant management, and related state and federal programs. Participants will gain knowledge through both classroom instruction and hands-on field sessions—get ready for an action-packed and informative day!

Cost: Free (Includes a copy of the Invasive Plants Field Guide and lunch.)

When: Tuesday, September 9, 2025
Time: 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Location: Andy’s Agway/Cole Farm Maple, 13 Cole Farm Road, Dayton, Maine 04005
(This workshop event is focused on maple producers.)
Cost: Free (Includes a copy of the Invasive Plants Field Guide and lunch.)
