Contact will be made with Middle and High schools in the Lewiston-Auburn area and JF Murphy Homes to find interested young people and teach them the different technologies used to seed. Various techniques will be taught to students to transplant and care for plants as they germinate. Students will learn how to properly plant and care for hanging baskets as well other types of containers used for gardening. Other tasks will include planting seeds, watering seedlings, create hanging baskets, transplant seedlings into 6-packs and 4.5” pots, move/organize plants from one greenhouse to another as the weather warms up.
