This year’s big field day will feature a morning of IPM with UMaine researchers, and burgers on the grill for lunch, followed by an exciting afternoon with the following sessions.

9:00-12:00 Pest and Crop Management (2 pesticide credits)

9:00-10:00: Weed Management (Lily Calderwood and Josh Stubbs)

  • Tractor spray coverage demonstration
  • Herbicide stacking discussion
  • Testing your own soil pH

10:00-10:30 Pest and Pollinator Insects (Phil Fanning)
10:30-11:00 Disease Management (Seanna Annis)
11:00-11:30 Crop Management (Lily Calderwood and John Zhang)

11:30-1:00 Lunch (Beef and Veggie Burgers + Ice Cream!)
