Habitat:
-full-part sun
-well drained but moist soils
Natural History:
-known to have anti-inflammatory effects
-beneficial effects of V. officinalis in the nervous system
- hydro-alcoholic extract can be shown to prevent depression
-native to Europe and Western Asia
