Becoming an Outdoors-Woman
The Becoming an outdoors Woman (BOW) program is sponsored by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (MDIFW) and the University of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center, and is aimed primarily at women 18 years and older. BOW seeks to provide introductory learning experiences in a variety of outdoor skills including hunting, fishing, wilderness survival, and outdoors skills.
If you have been looking for an opportunity to learn new skills, try a new outdoor activity, gain self-confidence or simply be more active in the outdoors — the BOW program is for you! At Bryant Pond, we offer a Fall Introductory Skills Weekend in October, A Winter Skills Weekend in February, a one day “Spring BOW Mini” and soon a Summer Skills Weekend, all held at the beautiful Bryant Pond 4-H Center in the western mountains of Maine.
