June Jamboree

June 6th, 2026 at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds

4-H June Jamboree is an annual event hosted by Cumberland County 4-H. It is open to ALL 4-H members and families in Cumberland & York Counties. It is a time for 4-H members to see what others are doing in their 4-H projects, a chance to learn new things, to see old friends, and to make new ones. 4-H club members have the opportunity to participate in many animal clinics, shows, and other activities.

Information to help you prepare for June Jamboree 2026:

General Information:

All events will take place at the Cumberland Fairgrounds (197 Blanchard Road in Cumberland, Maine 04021).

Expectations:

  • All youth must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or enrolled 4-H Volunteer.
  • Be respectful of the Cumberland Fairgrounds and take responsibility for your safety and equipment.
  • Leave your space better than you found it.
  • Help to create an inclusive and equitable environment for all youth participants.
  • Uphold the 4-H Standards of Behavior and Participation Agreements.
  • Follow all safety rules.

Lunch:

  • Millside Creations (food Truck) will be on site

June Jamboree 4-H Project Activities Information

Dairy

Please be on grounds by 9 a.m., bring at least one animal (unless it has ringworm or warts), and also don’t forget your Showmanship clothes (club uniform). There will be some events for Cloverbuds so we encourage you to attend. 

Rabbits

Rabbit Barn opens at 8am. Single 4-H Pet Class starting at 9am with a Double ARBA Sanctioned Youth Show to follow in the Rabbit Barn.

Sheep and Market Lamb

Sheep arrive at fairgrounds by 9:30 a.m. Bring all market lambs to be shown and tagged. For those of you in the sheep project bring at least one sheep representing each breed that you are going to carry in your sheep project.  Market Lambs Show at 10:30, Sheep at 11:30, Tagging at 12:30 for Cumberland Fair Market Lambs.

Swine and Market Hog

Cumberland County Swiners-Please be at the fairgrounds by 7:30 a.m, your 4-H leaders have your activities planned. Please do not bring your pigs. Be ready for a short meeting & some showmanship practice. We encourage you to participate, if you are unable to attend, please contact your leader, Wendy.

Working Steers

Please be at the fairgrounds by 9:30 a.m. Show starts at 10:30am at the Pulling Ring followed by a workshop for members.


June Jamboree is one of the highlights of the 4-H year and offers many hands-on learning opportunities for 4-H members. Let’s make this year’s June Jamboree the best one ever and a memorable family affair!

10:00AM: Opening Ceremony ( Show Arena)

10:30 – 11:30AM: Market Lamb Fitting/Showmanship (Show Arena)

10:30AM – 12:00PM: Working Steer Show & Workshop ( Pulling Ring)

11:30AM – 12:30PM: Sheep Fitting/Showmanship followed by Sheep Judging (Show Arena)

12:30PM: Market Lamb Tagging for Cumberland Fair Market Lambs (Scale Areas)

1:30 – 3:30 p.m.: Dairy Show (Show Arena)
