Certify Your Garden
The Pollinator-Friendly Garden Certification is open to all Maine residents.
Step 1: Learn about pollinator-friendly gardening.

Register for the Pollinator-Friendly Gardening Course
Step 2: Start gardening.
Create a new pollinator-friendly garden or add essential elements of pollinator habitat to an existing garden.
Step 3: Document your garden.
Create a map, see the application for details.
Step 4: Apply for certification.
Please print and complete the Application for Pollinator-Friendly Garden Certification. (Word) Opens in Sharepoint.
Please email the completed application to extension.pollinators@maine.edu or send your application by mail to the address listed on the application.
You can pay the $25 application fee online or mail a check for $25 payable to “University of Maine” (memo: pollinator) to the address below:

Submission instructions are also included on the application. If you need help with how to print or download the application, view the application access instructions webpage. Applications are reviewed every two months.
Step 5: Receive your certificate.
After certification, you’ll receive instructions on how to purchase an optional sign.
