The Green Clover Gardeners

“Learn to grow, in more ways than one, with Hancock County 4-H.”

The Green Clover Gardeners is a 4-H Special Interest Club for youth ages 8-14 dedicated to learning the basics of gardening. This club will explore topics such as soil health, composting, environmental relationships in the garden, food safety, and more. Most importantly, this club will raise produce at the Hancock County Extension office gardens, in collaboration with Master Gardener Volunteers, to donate to local food pantries and the Maine Harvest For Hunger program.   

Club Meeting Schedule

This club will meet select Mondays from 3:30 – 5:00 pm from March through August.

Spring Meeting Topics: Sowing seeds, soil health, microgreens
Summer Meeting Topics: Planting, garden friends and foes, food safety, healthy cooking, field trips, Blue Hill Fair preparation

A more detailed schedule of events will be released to participants upon registration.
