Ready to build confidence in your pruning skills? Join Kate Garland, Horticulture Professional with University of Maine Cooperative Extension, for a hands-on evening focused on the fundamentals of proper pruning.
This practical workshop will cover:
• Essential pruning tools
• Proper timing for different woody plants
• The types of cuts best suited for ornamental, native, and edible trees and shrubs
Weather permitting, this session will be partially outdoors and include live demonstrations to help you apply what you learn right away.

Important details:
• Pre-registration is required
• Dress for the weather
• Bring a chair for outside if you’d like
• For safety and biosecurity reasons, please do not bring your own tools
