Extension Leadership Team Meeting Minutes
January 10, 2012

9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Richard J. Randall Student Technology Center
University of Augusta

Present: John Rebar, Fran Sulinski, Jon Prichard, Dennis Harrington, and Lisa Phelps

Facilitator: Fran Sulinski

Note taker: Lisa Phelps

Guest: Jennifer O’Leary

ADA Statement and Phone Number: There are many instances where a brochure, flyer or other material has no Extension phone contact but does have the non-discrimination and ADA statement with Equal Opportunity (EO) contact information. As a result, our clients end up calling the only number available to them and EO is reporting that they get an average of three (3) Extension client calls a week. Fran Sulinski and Jen O’Leary will work together to share information with staff. Minimally there needs to be a phone contact on all print items in addition to a website address and e-mail address. Guest: Jennifer O’Leary

Northeast Program Leaders Network Meeting will be held in Washington, DC, February 15-17, 2012. Karen Hatch Gagne will represent Maine at this meeting. We thank Karen for her willingness to attend this meeting. University of Maine Diversity Leadership Institute (UMDLI): Funding for UMDLI has been decreased and the program has also been reconfigured to reduce costs. The ELT agreed to provide $2,500 to support the program because of our continued involvement and because of the good work and benefits of the program. The ELT is encouraging more UMaine Extension staff to participate in UMDLI.
