Extension Leadership Team Minutes

Present:  Dennis Harrington, Lisa Phelps, Jon Prichard, John Rebar and Fran Sulinski.

Extension Travel Expenses – Heather has produced a summary of monies spent on travel during the University’s fiscal year ending June 30, 2012. The total shows ongoing reductions in travel costs, consistent with the past two (2) years.  We will continue to explore ways to bring about cost reductions without negatively effecting programming, including and not limited to, use of University/Extension vehicles.

ELT Meeting Dates – We changed an early October meeting date to be October 2 (rather than the 3^rd).

Annual Performance Evaluations – The UMS Board of Trustees is charging each campus President with ensuring 100% completion of annual performance evaluations. John receives calls from the Provost regarding those who are delinquent. All staff who supervise others are reminded that annual evaluations deadlines must be met by all.

Purpose of ELT Minutes Announcements – The “Announcements” portion of ELT meeting minutes has traditionally been used primarily as a place to acknowledge staff for grant awards and professional recognition/awards.  Staff may not be aware that they may submit items for inclusion in the announcements.  The ELT invites all staff to submit items to be included in the ELT minutes/announcements.  Eligible postings should address one or more of the following:

Notable programmatic accomplishments
Development or fundraising success
Significant new partnerships and/or opportunities
Important transitions
