New Employee Training on 5/12.
The Extension new employee training has adjusted to changes in the UMaine orientation over the years. Typically taking place twice a year in March and October, the 9:30 – 3:30 training now includes mandatory training from safety and Equal Opportunity to prevent some new off-campus employees from having to take a separate trip for those offerings. The training also includes information about flexible staff development, reclassifications, civil rights and the Extension organizational chart. An important part of the training is to meet and get to know other new staff and to understand the resources available to all Extension staff.
Planning and Listening Sessions
Dennis and John will travel the state to talk about the changes coming as a result of the UMS Financial Management and what are the implications for staff and Extension Offices. These visits are likely to take place this summer. Each office will be contacted for scheduling.
