2020 NWS Gray Virtual Winter Spotter Training (Nov 5th)

November 5, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm

Help your National Weather Service by becoming a Winter Weather Storm Spotter! Storm spotters report snowfall, ice accumulation, ice jam flooding and coastal flood erosion during Northern New England’s long harsh winters. Spotter training will teach you how to accurately measure and report significant winter weather phenomenon!

There is no cost to participate in these virtual training sessions which are open to all those who are interested in weather and becoming a spotter. Note:

  • Youth 16 years and above can participate on their own.
  • Youth under 16 will need a parent or guardian for support during the virtual training and as a Winter Weather Storm Spotter.

Please register for one of the three individual spotter sessions. Each session covers the same training material.

For other training in upcoming months, check out the National Weather Service website.

For more information about this training, please contact: Donald Dumont at Donald.Dumont@noaa.gov.
