4-H Gears, Pulleys and Wheels Camp in Whitneyville
Campers ages six to nine from Machias and surrounding towns spent three days beginning on July 24th exploring the world of gears, pulleys and wheels using Legos at a 4-H day camp program sponsored by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension. In addition to building and learning about simple machines with the Legos, campers learned about growing cranberries from Nan Bradshaw of Bradshaw’s Cranberry Farm and also cooked with cranberries and did fun physical fitness activities.
