Master Gardener Volunteer Training Begins September 2 in Machias
Machias, Maine — University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s Master Gardener Volunteer training begins Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Washington County UMaine Extension office, 28 Center St., Machias.
The 40-hour course provides intensive instruction on growing fruits and vegetables. In exchange for the training, participants volunteer their time and expertise in gardening-related community projects. Cost is $220; limited scholarships are available.
