Employment Opportunity – 4-H Youth Development Professional – Washington County

This position will provide educational leadership for 4-H Youth Development in Washington County and collaborate with the leadership staff at the UMaine 4-H Camp and Learning Center at Greenland Point. 4-H is a non-formal, experiential education program for youth, and adults working with those youth, to develop life skills necessary to be self-directing, productive and contributing members of society. The person will work with 4-H volunteers to foster an open, educational environment to promote the learning and growth of 4-H youth, and will develop educational programs and resources that address the needs of youth in Washington County, and partner with other Extension staff in the region to create a multidisciplinary approach to youth development. A priority will be to strengthen the 4-H programs in Washington County through school, after school and community engagement, and to provide integrated programming for Washington County youth through partnerships with 4-H staff at Greenland Point 4-H Camp and Learning Center. The typical salary range for this position is $36,000-$40,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
