Session 2 – Earl Bigelow Memorial Park, 1400 Main St. Harrington

What:
This spin club will focus on learning about our natural ecosystems, with some time spent outside around the grounds of the Gallison Memorial Library and at the Earl Bigelow Memorial Park looking at plants, insects, birds, aquatic organisms and exploring their habitats. Youth will do some hands-on activities like plant pressing, identifying different species of plants and insects, and building their own worm farms. This program will be geared toward youth ages 8 – 13, but all are welcome. Please come prepared to be outside (sunblock, appropriate shoes and clothing for the weather, water, a snack). Parents are more than welcome to join!

For more information or to request a reasonable accommodation, contact Gabby Brodek, 4-H Youth Development Professional at gabrielle.brodek@maine.edu or 207.255.3345.
