Dining with Diabetes Down East

University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s free, four-week Dining with Diabetes Down East series will be offered in Machias and Calais this summer. The Machias session begins Thursday,  July 14, 1–3  p.m., at Machias Memorial High School, 1 Bulldog Lane, Machias. Remaining dates are July 21, July 28 and Aug. 4.

The Calais session begins Wednesday, Sept. 7,  10 a.m.–noon, at Palmer Lane Estates, 27 Palmer Lane, Calais. The series continues Sept. 14, Sept. 21 and Sept. 28.

UMaine Extension registered dietitian and nutritionist Alan Majka will provide presentations, lead discussions, and demonstrate preparation of nutritious recipes that participants can sample.
