Make family gifts from the kitchen with UMaine Extension
Machias, Maine—University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer a free program on making edible holiday gifts beginning Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 4-4:45 p.m., at the Porter Memorial Library, 92 Court Street, Machias. Classes meet each Tuesday through Dec. 17.
“Family Gifts from the Kitchen” will focus on creating mixes using basic ingredients and learn healthy eating tips. Jars, ingredients, and samples will be provided. Mixes will include oatmeal-raisin muffins, alphabet soup, and homemade granola. Families who attend all three sessions will receive a gift bag on the last day. Children must be accompanied by adults.
