Cancelled: “Mulching and Irrigating Wild Blueberry Fields” on October 22

Please note the following event on October 22, 2025 has been cancelled. We will discuss topics including field mulching and irrigation during our annual Winter Conference in February, 2026. We look forward to seeing you there!

During the 2025 harvest season, wild blueberry growers in Hancock and Washington Counties especially, experienced a flash drought. It was terrible! Unirrigated fields became crunchy and fruit shriveled on the plant before it could be harvested. This fall it is timely to discuss mulch and irrigation as tools for wild blueberry growers to buffer the impacts of drought. Join us October 22 for a free event to discuss field mulching and irrigation strategies at Brodis Blueberries in Hope.
