Matthew Christie

Matt is one of two 4-H professional educators with the Telstar Freshman Academy. Matt is a graduate of Warren Wilson College with a major in Outdoor Leadership and Experiential Education. He has been an outdoor educator for over 20 years, with experience in a wide variety of program areas from technical rock climbing and white water kayaking to environmental education and group facilitation. After working at boarding schools in North Carolina and Maine for the past 15 years, Matt is excited to bring his experience to the Telstar Freshman Academy to help nurture the students’ academic, social and emotional growth.  In his free time Matt can be found with his family, fishing, climbing, mountain biking, hiking, and skiing around this beautiful part of Maine we get to call home. Matt is a Registered Maine Guide.
