Norm Greenberg
Norm Greenberg is one of two 4-H Professional Educators in the Telstar Freshmen Academy program. He brings 31 years of Experiential Education experience to the position from such programs as the Cornell University Outdoor Education Program, Hurricane Island Outward Bound School, and the Nantahala Outdoor Center. Norm also taught Social Studies and other subjects in public high schools and middle schools for 9 years and earned a Master’s degree in Education. In between, Norm competed in international Adventure Races, directed an Adventure Racing production company, and served in the Peace Corps in West Africa. He has experienced adventure, challenge, and character development personally and facilitated similar programs in many different contexts to many different populations. Norm has taught a diversity of subjects in a great variety of educational settings, formal and informal, indoors and out, urban, rural, and wilderness, to many different ages.
