Carl Costanzi

Carl Costanzi brings a unique blend of scientific, educational, and community leadership experience to the Bryant Pond Learning Center Board of Directors. After a 20-year career as a research molecular biologist in Philadelphia, Carl moved to Maine in 2004, where he embraced new opportunities in education and community service. He worked as a carpenter before co-founding and teaching at Ganderia Middle School, helping to create innovative educational experiences for students.

Since 2011, Carl has worked with MaineHealth on community health initiatives, promoting healthy living and strengthening community partnerships throughout western Maine. A dedicated advocate for conservation, education, and public service, he also serves in leadership roles with several nonprofit organizations, including Cooperative Extension and local conservation efforts. As a longtime member and leader of the Bryant Pond Learning Center Board of Directors, Carl brings a deep commitment to healthy communities, outdoor education, and the organization’s long-term growth and success.
