George Conant

George Conant brings a lifetime of experience in education, youth development, and community engagement to the Bryant Pond Learning Center Board of Directors. A longtime supporter of 4-H and Cooperative Extension, George dedicated more than 30 years to public education as a teacher and school administrator, working to create positive learning environments where students can thrive.

Following his retirement from public education, George founded a consulting practice focused on Restorative Practices and school culture. He now partners with schools throughout Maine, helping educators build stronger relationships and foster safe, supportive, and inclusive learning communities. George also serves on the Maine 4-H Foundation Board, continuing his commitment to youth development and experiential education. His passion for outdoor learning and the belief that hands-on experiences build confidence, character, and lifelong skills make him a valued member of the Bryant Pond Learning Center Board.
