Join us for a five-part vegetable gardening series where you’ll learn the techniques to start your garden and build a community to support your success! Designed for beginning gardeners who enjoy learning in a group environment, the workshops will provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to start their own small vegetable gardens. Each session will cover a different topic, including garden planning, seed starting, soil and bed preparation, planting and early care techniques, and harvesting.
The course will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month on Feb. 28, March 27, April 24, May 29 and June 26 at various locations in Falmouth and Portland. Registration is required and the program fee* is offered on a sliding scale, $50 – $100. This program is being offered in collaboration with Cultivating Community.
