Drought-tolerant plants conserves water usage while still providing beauty and function in the landscape. With climate change concerns, and more frequent occurrences of drought throughout Maine, it makes conservation and economic sense to select drought-tolerant plants for your landscape. Many of these plants are native, pollinator and bird friendly, aesthetically appealing, and able to withstand the drier soil conditions we will continue to experience. In this session you will be introduced to a variety of drought tolerant herbaceous perennials, trees, and shrubs that will become the stars in your landscape.
Registration is required. The program fee is offered on a sliding scale, $0-$10 and is free to enrolled Master Gardener Volunteers. This session will be recorded and shared with those who register for this webinar.
