Considering buying a freeze dryer or just curious about the process? This educational workshop from UMaine Extension will provide an overview of using a freeze dryer at home to create high-quality, long-lasting dried fruits, vegetables, snacks, and meals. Participants will learn how freeze drying works, about the required equipment, and how to safely prepare and store foods for freeze drying. Samples will be provided.
