Unlock the secrets of delicious, home-preserved foods with this Fall lecture series, guided by Master Food Preserver Claire Schreiber. Join us for three engaging sessions where you’ll learn the art and science of food preservation. Each lesson is designed to be informative and hands-on, perfect for both beginners and seasoned preservers. Throughout the series we’ll utilize materials and equipment available in the Curtis Memorial Library of things. Perfect for you to check out and try at home!

November: Sauerkraut Secrets – 2 Hours
Explore the tangy world of fermented foods with our sauerkraut workshop. Learn about the fermentation process and how to make your own sauerkraut from scratch. This session will cover all the essential steps from preparing the cabbage to storing your sauerkraut, ensuring you can go home and create your own homemade fermented delight.
