Preserving the Maine Harvest: Introduction to Water Bath Canning

Join University of Maine Cooperative Extension food preservation staff for a lively discussion and demonstration on how to preserve Maine foods throughout our growing season. In this session, we will:

  • Demonstrate how a boiling water bath canner works
  • Explain the science of boiling water bath canning
  • Discuss recommended equipment, including canning jars and tools
  • Answer your questions
