MGV Projects Map

Master Gardener Volunteers devote their volunteer time to a wide variety of community projects that meet the program’s mission and focus areas and address a local community need. Master Gardener Volunteer may focus on food security/Maine Harvest for Hunger, ecological landscapes or sustainable gardens, educational programming, youth and school garden projects, and more.

Visit our project map to see some of the volunteer projects in your area.

Projects vary from county to county. The Master Gardener Volunteer Projects Map is not an exhaustive list, and some projects may not be active from year to year. Please contact the county Extension office or email extension.mastergardeners@maine.edu with questions about projects listed here.

There are two ways to interact with the map.

  1. Zoom in to find projects in your area, then select a project using the project marker to open the project information pop-up.
  2. Use the MGV Project List on the right side of the map to search for your county by typing in the search box. The project list will show the name, town, county, and whether it is open for first year volunteers. Selecting a project here will Zoom in on the map and open a pop-up message with more information.
