How do I enroll?
- Log in to the Master Gardener Volunteer Portal and select the MGV Dashboard to begin.
- Select Enroll/Report Hours
- The next screen will be blank except for the enrollment message near the top.
- Click on “Enroll Today” to get started.
- Note: If you do not have an up-to-date background check, you will not be able to enroll.
How do I report hours?
- Log in to the Master Gardener Volunteer Portal and click on the MGV Dashboard to begin.
- Select Enroll/Report Hours
- Click on the “Log Hours and Impacts” button to the right of your project to visit the project page
- On the project page, click on “Report hours and Impacts for this project” button
- In the pop up box, click on the calendar icon to set the start and end dates.
- Enter hours and answer the questions
- Click Submit.
How do I see what hours I have already submitted?
- In your Dashboard, on the My Projects and Hours Reporting tab, scroll down to “Update Previous Submissions” to view a list of the hours you have submitted this year.
- From here, you can also make changes to entries or delete duplicate entries. View the hours guide for detailed instructions on how to edit hours entered.
What projects are in my project list?
Some standard projects will be automatically included in your project list. These projects are marked with an asterisk (*).
If you reported volunteer hours at a project last year and the project has been renewed for this year, it will already appear in your list of This Year’s Projects.
How do I add more projects to my project list?
You can add additional projects using the “Add New Project” button. See the Adding MGV Projects guide (Google Doc) for more information.
Where can I see all of the approved projects?
- All current approved projects are all listed in the MGV Dashboard, which automatically updates when a project renews or a new project gets approved by the county MGV coordinator.
- Log in and select the Enroll/Add Hours tab
- Select the Add Another Project button below your project list.
- Search in your county: type the name of your county in the county column to filter the list.
How can I contact other volunteers in my county?
- Log in to your Dashboard
- Select the MGV Directory tab
- Search by volunteer name, town, or cohort (county)
