Eastern Maine Native Plant Arboretum

Address: 307 Maine Ave, Bangor

Located on the grounds of the UMaine Cooperative Extension Penobscot County office, the arboretum is an outdoor classroom for the study of native tree and shrub species best suited for managed landscapes. Volunteer tasks include pruning, mulching and very coarse weeding as well as help replacing plants that have died or are in poor shape. We also need help to prepare and plant a small garden along the front office walkway with ornamental and edible annuals. Flexible timing. Project Coordinator: Kate Garland
